We are about to enter our seventh year of homeschooling. Over the years, I have found some very useful website's and curriculum sites that met the needs of our family. You are welcome to pour yourself a glass of sweet tea or coffee and browse through some of our favorite homeschooling resources.
After a year or two of flaundering, we found Charlotte Mason and her learning style. It was just what I was looking for. Problem was, my older daughter (C-Sunshine) is a type A personality and resistant to change. Over a few years, she has learned to love the CM style and is thriving. It is also good for her perfectionist personality, because it is full of narration, copy work from beautiful literature or poetry and not just workbooks. Some of my favorite CM sites are Ambleside which has excellent resources for Art and Music appreciation. There is also a wonderful Catholic Charlotte Mason curriculum that is provided free by the creators over at Mater Amabilis. If you are thinking of looking into the Charlotte Mason style of learning, I recommend you visit both of those sites before putting your schedules together.
Ambleside Online - Free online CM Curriculum
Mater Amabilis - Free Catholic online CM Curriculum
Catholic Heritage Company - Catholic curriculum with a CM feel.
Queen Homeschool Supplies - some great copywork books and CM resources
Simply Charlotte Mason - we just LOVE her Spelling Wisdom.
Serendipity - A wonderful primary curriculum at Elizabeth's with a sweet CM style that is so graciously shares with the rest of us.
Wildflowers and Marbles - Jen's place is just full of wonderful resources
I will be adding to this list often, so make sure you check back. I will soon be adding links for First Communion Notebooks and activities for preparing for my daughter's first Holy Communion next year.
Blessings!
